How to Make Smooth Stone

Smelt a regular Stone block in a furnace to get Smooth Stone. Cobblestone smelts into Stone first, so it takes two passes through the furnace from raw cobblestone.

Craft Concrete Powder from 4 Sand, 4 Gravel, and 1 Dye, then place the powder next to or in water so it hardens into solid Concrete.

How to Make Map

Craft an Empty Map from Paper. In Java Edition put 8 Paper around a Compass; in Bedrock 9 Paper makes a plain Empty Map, or add a Compass for a locator map.

How to Make Bed

Craft a Bed from 3 Wool and 3 Planks. Place 3 matching-color Wool in the top row and 3 wooden Planks below them in a crafting table.

How to Make Obsidian

Make Obsidian by pouring Water onto a Lava source block. The lava cools into Obsidian, which you then mine with a Diamond or Netherite pickaxe.

Craft Paper from Sugar Cane. Place 3 Sugar Cane in a horizontal row in a crafting table to get 3 Paper.

How to Make Saddle

Saddles can't be crafted. Get one from chest loot in dungeons, temples, and Nether fortresses, by fishing, or by trading Emeralds with a master-level Leatherworker villager.

How to Make Glass

Smelt Sand (or Red Sand) in a furnace to make Glass. Each block of sand becomes one Glass block.

How to Make Green Dye

Green Dye is the one dye you smelt rather than craft. Cook Cactus in a furnace to produce Green Dye.

How to Make Lantern

Craft a Lantern from 8 Iron Nuggets surrounding 1 Torch. Use a Soul Torch instead to make a Soul Lantern.

How to Make Mud

Make a Mud block by using a Water Bottle on a Dirt block. The water soaks the dirt and turns it into Mud.

How to Make Stone Bricks

Craft Stone Bricks by placing 4 Stone blocks in a 2×2 square in the crafting grid.

How to Make Smooth Sandstone

Smelt a Sandstone block in a furnace to make Smooth Sandstone. Red Sandstone smelts into Smooth Red Sandstone the same way.

Craft a Netherite Ingot from 4 Netherite Scrap and 4 Gold Ingots. Netherite Scrap comes from smelting Ancient Debris found deep in the Nether.

How to Make Copper Golem

Build a Copper Golem by placing a Copper Block and putting a Carved Pumpkin on top. The pumpkin must be the last block placed, and the copper block turns into a Copper Chest as the golem spawns.
