Minecraft Circle Generator

Pick a diameter and get a block-by-block pixel circle to copy in your build. Switch to Oval for a custom width × height. Choose Hollow for a one-block outline (towers, round walls) or Filled for a solid disc (floors, platforms). Runs entirely in your browser.

How to build a circle in Minecraft

  1. Set the diameter to how many blocks wide you want the circle. Odd numbers give a clean single-block center; even numbers give a two-block-wide center.
  2. Use Hollow for round walls and tower outlines; Filled for floors and platforms.
  3. Place blocks to match the green cells, one row at a time. The grid is symmetric — memorize one quarter and mirror it.
  4. Want a 3D round build? Use the sphere generator or cylinder generator.

FAQ

How do you make a circle in Minecraft?

Minecraft has no round blocks, so a circle is built by placing square blocks in a stepped pattern that approximates the curve. Pick a diameter in the generator above, then place blocks to match the green cells one row at a time. The pattern is symmetric, so you only have to work out one quarter and mirror it.

What's the best circle size in Minecraft?

Odd diameters (7, 9, 11, 13…) give the cleanest results because they have a single-block center, so the circle looks balanced from every side. Even diameters work but leave a 2×2 center. Diameters of 9–15 are the sweet spot for towers and fountains; go bigger for arena walls.

Is there a Minecraft circle chart?

Yes — the size chart on this page shows the common diameters (5–51) as ready-to-build outlines with their exact block counts. Unlike a static chart, you can also type any diameter into the tool above and get a live pattern plus a copyable text version.

How do you build a sphere or dome instead of a flat circle?

A flat circle is a single layer. For a 3D ball or dome use the Sphere generator, which stacks circle layers of changing size; for a straight round tower use the Cylinder generator, which repeats the same circle at every height.

How many blocks does a Minecraft circle need?

It depends on the diameter and whether it's hollow or filled. A hollow circle of diameter 9 is about 24 blocks; diameter 15 is about 44. The generator and the size chart show the exact count for any size as you change it.
