Smelt a Log
Put any Log (or stripped log / wood) in the top slot of a furnace with fuel. Each Log becomes one Charcoal.
Tips
- Use one Charcoal to smelt more Logs into Charcoal — a self-sustaining fuel loop from a tree farm.
- Charcoal makes Torches and Campfires just like Coal, but it can't be crafted into a Block of Coal.
FAQ
Is Charcoal the same as Coal?
It burns the same as fuel and makes the same Torches, but Charcoal and Coal don't stack together and Charcoal can't be made into a Coal Block.
