How to Make Netherite Ingot in Minecraft

Craft a Netherite Ingot from 4 Netherite Scrap and 4 Gold Ingots. Netherite Scrap comes from smelting Ancient Debris found deep in the Nether.

You'll need

  • 4× Netherite Scrap
  • 4× Gold Ingot

Station / tools

  • Furnace / Blast Furnace
  • Crafting Table

Yields: 1 Netherite Ingot per 4 Ancient Debris

Step by step

  1. 1

    Mine Ancient Debris

Dig around Y -16 to Y 8 in the Nether. Ancient Debris is blast-resistant — many players use beds or TNT to find it safely.

  2. 2

    Smelt it into Scrap

Smelt each Ancient Debris in a furnace or blast furnace to get 1 Netherite Scrap. You need 4 Scrap per ingot.

  3. 3

    Craft the ingot

Combine 4 Netherite Scrap and 4 Gold Ingots anywhere in the crafting grid to make 1 Netherite Ingot.

Tips

  • Ancient Debris never burns in lava, so it's safe to mine near lava lakes.
  • One full set of Netherite tools and armor needs a lot of debris — gather plenty before upgrading.
