How to Make Fire Resistance Potion in Minecraft

Brew a Fire Resistance Potion by adding Magma Cream to an Awkward Potion. It makes you immune to fire and lava damage for 3 minutes.

You'll need

  • 1× Awkward Potion
  • 1× Magma Cream
  • Blaze Powder (fuel)

Step by step

  1. 1

    Brew an Awkward Potion

    Add Nether Wart to a Water Bottle on a fueled Brewing Stand to make the Awkward Potion base.

    Add Magma Cream

    Put Magma Cream in the top slot. The Awkward Potion becomes a Potion of Fire Resistance (3:00).

    Extend it (optional)

    Add Redstone Dust to extend the duration to 8:00.

Tips

  • Magma Cream is crafted from a Blaze Powder + a Slimeball, or dropped by Magma Cubes.
  • Fire Resistance is essential for the Nether, swimming in lava, and fighting the Blaze.
