How to Make Mud in Minecraft
Make a Mud block by using a Water Bottle on a Dirt block. The water soaks the dirt and turns it into Mud.
You'll need
- 1× Dirt
- Water Bottle
Station / tools
- Glass Bottle (to fill with water)
Yields: 1 Mud per Dirt block
Step by step
- 1
Fill a Water Bottle
Use a Glass Bottle on water (or a cauldron) to get a Water Bottle.
- 2
Use it on Dirt
Aim at a placed Dirt block and use the Water Bottle. The Dirt converts into a Mud block and the bottle empties.
Tips
- Place Mud over a Pointed Dripstone and it drains into Clay over time.
- Craft Mud with Wheat to make Packed Mud, then smelt or craft that into Mud Bricks.
