When to pick each
You're building or exploring at night and one walks up behind you. The explosion destroys both you and the terrain. Wear Blast Protection IV and never sprint into one.
You're caving or exploring strongholds. Skeletons spawn in groups, kite around corners, and the arrow knockback can punt you into lava. Carry a shield always.
