/structure

Saves a region of the world as a named structure and loads it back elsewhere, with rotation, mirroring, and entity options — all from the command line, no structure block item needed. Great for templating builds and minigame arenas on Bedrock.

What is /structure used for?

What /structure is for

Saves a region of the world as a named structure and loads it back elsewhere, with rotation, mirroring, and entity options — all without a structure block item.

When to use /structure

Template builds and minigame arenas on Bedrock, duplicate a structure across a map, or snapshot and restore an area between rounds.

Tips for /structure

Save to memory for quick reuse or to disk to keep it between sessions. On Java, /clone (for live copies) and /place (for registered structures) cover similar ground.

Examples

  • Save a 10×8×10 region as 'myhouse'.

  • Paste 'myhouse' at your position.

Common questions

How do I save a build without a structure block?

On Bedrock: /structure save <name> <from> <to>, then /structure load <name> <to> to paste it elsewhere.

What's the Java equivalent of /structure?

Use /clone for live copies, or /place structure for registered structures. Java has no direct /structure command.

Permission level

/structure requires Cheats (op level 2). In single-player you need the world's "Allow Cheats" toggle on. On a multiplayer server you need to be opped — see /op.
