While in Spectator mode, attaches your camera to another entity so you see through its eyes. Run with no arguments to stop spectating. Handy for observing players in minigames or following mobs.

While in Spectator mode, attaches your camera to another entity so you see through its eyes.
When to use /spectate
Observe players in minigames or follow a mob. Run /spectate with no target to detach and return to your own view.
Syntax
Parameters
- targetoptional
- entity selector
- Entity to spectate. Omit to stop.
- playeroptional
- entity selector
- Spectator doing the watching (default self).
Examples
Spectate a random player.
Stop spectating and return to your own view.
Permission level
/spectate requires Cheats (op level 2). In single-player you need the world's "Allow Cheats" toggle on. On a multiplayer server you need to be opped — see /op.
