/setworldspawn

Sets the default spawn for the whole world — where new players appear and where players without a personal spawnpoint respawn. Distinct from /spawnpoint, which sets an individual player's respawn location.

What is /setworldspawn used for?

What /setworldspawn is for

Sets the world's global spawn point — where brand-new players appear and where players without a personal spawn respawn.

When to use /setworldspawn

Point new joins at a hub or lobby on a server, or move the default spawn after building a proper starting area.

World spawn vs spawnpoint

This changes the default for everyone; /spawnpoint sets one player's respawn. The spawn-protection radius (server.properties) is centered on the world spawn.
