Finds the nearest structure, biome, or point of interest and reports its coordinates and distance from you.
When to use /locate
Track down a stronghold, ocean monument, ancient city, or trial chamber without wandering, or find the closest patch of a rare biome.
Tips for /locate
Use /locate structure for built structures, /locate biome for terrain, and combine with /tp to jump straight to the coordinates it returns.

How do I find a stronghold with a command?
Run /locate structure minecraft:stronghold — it reports the nearest stronghold's coordinates and distance. Then teleport to them.
How do I find a specific biome?
Use /locate biome <biome>, e.g. /locate biome minecraft:cherry_grove, then head to the coordinates it returns.
Permission level
/locate requires Cheats (op level 2). In single-player you need the world's "Allow Cheats" toggle on. On a multiplayer server you need to be opped — see /op.
