/event

Fires a named entity event defined in an entity's behavior file, switching its component groups — for example turning a creeper into its charged state or aging a mob. The hook addon and map makers use to script mob behavior on Bedrock.

Syntax

Parameters

target
entity selector
Entities to fire the event on.
eventName
string
Event ID from the entity's behavior definition.

Examples

  • Charge nearby creepers.

Permission level

/event requires Cheats (op level 2). In single-player you need the world's "Allow Cheats" toggle on. On a multiplayer server you need to be opped — see /op.
