The grindstone repairs and disenchants tools, weapons, and armor. Combining two of the same item repairs them, and removing enchantments returns some of the spent experience. It is the Weaponsmith's job site.
How to make a Grindstone

What a Grindstone does
- •Repair an item by combining two of the same type (their durability adds together, plus a bonus)
- •Remove all non-curse enchantments from an item and recover some XP
- •Assigns the Weaponsmith profession to a villager
How to use the Grindstone
Right-click to open the grindstone's two input slots. Place a single enchanted item to strip its enchantments (Curses stay), or two matching items to repair them into one. Unlike the anvil, the grindstone has no XP-level cost and no repair penalty, but it cannot rename items or combine enchantments.
Villager job site: Weaponsmith — place it near an unemployed villager to assign the profession.
