Full crafting guide for Campfire Step-by-step layout and ingredient sources.

What a Campfire does

  • Cook up to 4 raw food items slowly without any fuel
  • Provide light level 15 and a tall smoke plume (taller over a hay bale)
  • Deal fire damage to entities standing on it (but not extinguish to silk-touch)
  • Smoke can be used to send a visible signal or repel bees from a hive

How to use the Campfire

Right-click with raw food to place it on the campfire; it cooks in ~30 seconds and pops off automatically. Place a hay bale beneath it to extend the smoke signal up to 24 blocks — handy for marking locations. Right-click with a shovel to put it out, flint and steel to relight.

/setblock command

Replace ~ ~ ~ with absolute coordinates to place this block at a fixed location.
